CARTHAGE -- The Van Lady Vandals outlasted Carthage in five games, 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, 29-27, 15-12, Friday in non-district volleyball action.

Hallee Carter finished with 15 kills, 10 digs and six aces to lead the way. Bri Thompson added 14 kills and five blocks, Rebekah Rogers had 13 kills, Ashlin Lovett had 12 digs and Morgan Wilkerson contributed 48 assists and three aces.

Van resumes its season at home Tuesday against Troup, while Carthage (8-5) is at Nacogdoches the same night. Carthage plays in the second day of the ETBU Tournament on Saturday after going 3-0 in Thursday's action.

Bullard Defeats Troup

BULLARD -- The Bullard Lady Panthers defeated Troup 25-15, 20-25, 25-22, 25-18 on Friday night.

Ashley Searcy had 10 kills and five blocks to lead Bullard (8-3). Maddy Davis added five kills and 12 digs, Madi Hodges had 18 digs, Mackenzie Fish had 10 digs and Rachel Kelley registered 18 assists.

Bullard resumes its season Saturday in the Overton Tournament against Waskom at 11 a.m. Troup, meanwhile, plays at Van on Tuesday.

Tyler All Saints Goes 2-1 in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH -- The Tyler All Saints Lady Trojans went 2-1 in pool play at the Fort Worth Christian Tournament on Friday.

All Saints (9-3) defeated DeSoto Canterbury 25-13, 25-7 and Arlington Pantego Christian 25-23, 26-24 and lost to Bay Area Christian 25-19, 25-22.

The Lady Trojans, who finished second in their pool, advanced to the Gold Bracket and will face Austin Regents at 8 a.m. Saturday.
