TYLER -- Court Brown muscled his way for 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocks to lead the Lindale Eagles past Bullard, 50-40, in Thursday's final game of the Wagstaff Holiday Classic.

It was one of three Apache Bracket contests on the day. There will be no championship awarded with all six teams guaranteed three games in three days.

Lindale had just five players hit the scoring column, but four of them reached double figures.

Aside from Brown, Mason Terry filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, 10 steals and four rebounds. Kolton Pierce added 11 points and Brian Boaz chipped in with 10 points and four boards for Lindale, which had to battle back from a second-half deficit.

Bullard was led by senior guard Corbin Howard, who had a game-high 17 points to go with seven rebounds and three steals. Landen Beckham added 10 points and four boards in the losing effort.

The Panthers took a 27-21 lead into halftime thanks to a 7-0 run to close the first half. Howard had a pair of baskets and hit a free throw, while Beckham laid it in off an assist from Howard during the stretch.

That's when Lindale took over, outscoring Bullard 13-3 in the third quarter. Boaz had two buckets and Terry drained a 3 during the pivotal period. Bullard's Devin Alvey tied it at 34-34 with a basket, but the Eagles outscored Bullard 16-6 the rest of the way.

Lindale will face Terrell at 5 p.m. Friday, while Bullard takes on John Tyler at 8 p.m.

Tyus Bowser's Big Night Carries John Tyler Past North Forney

Senior post Tyus Bowser had 30 points, 10 rebounds and two steals to lift the John Tyler Lions to a 77-65 victory over North Forney on Friday.

Bowser, whose football season was ended less than two weeks ago, scored 11 of his 30 in the fourth quarter when the Lions outscored North Forney 24-18.

Keaunte Humber added 14 points and three boards for John Tyler, while guard Jordan Caldwell contributed 13 points, three boards and a steal in the winning effort.

North Forney was led by Roy Neugent's 22 points and five rebounds. Armani Watts chipped in with 14 points, three boards and two steals, while Hunter Hartley delivered 10 points and three rebounds for the Falcons.

JT carried just a six-point lead, 63-57, into the fourth quarter before taking control with a 13-0 spurt. Hennessey Lampkin's bucket pushed the Lions' lead to 73-55 midway through the period.

North Forney resumes play in the Wagstaff tourney against Whitehouse at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Patrick Mahomes Leads Whitehouse to Easy Win Over Terrell

Junior guard Patrick Mahomes had 18 points, five rebounds and five steals to spark the Whitehouse Wildcats to a 69-53 win over Terrell on Friday evening.

Mahomes poured in 13 in the first half, helping the Wildcats to a 38-29 halftime advantage.

Spencer Shaw had a nice game as well for Whitehouse with 13 points, seven boards and two steals. Jaylon Dews and Jake Parker each contributed nine points for the Wildcats, who put the game away with an 8-0 run to begin the third quarter.

Chris Jones sparked Terrell with 21 points, five boards and two steals. Teammates Montravious Davis and Emmann Lewis scored 10 apiece.
